This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes how DA Global Access Network LLC and our subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively, “DA Global,” “BeGlobali,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collect, use, and share your personal information in connection with our website at BeGlobali.com (the “Site”), any BeGlobali mobile application (the “App”), the BeGlobali platform, features, and services, our email communications, and your engagement with our social media platforms (collectively, the “Platform”).


We reserve the right, at any time, to modify this Privacy Policy. If we make revisions that change the way we collect, use, or share personal information, we will post those changes in this Privacy Policy and update the “Effective Date” above. You should review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay up to date on our most current policies and practices. Your continued use of the Platform following posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.


COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

  • Personal Information You Provide to Us.

    Personal information you may provide to us through the Platform or otherwise includes:
    • Contact details, such as your first and last name, email and mailing addresses, residence, postal code, and phone number.
    • Education information, such as your university, area of study, affiliations, and status (e.g., student, mentor, department lead, etc.).
    • Profile information, such as your username and password for an online account with us; any videos, pictures, or other media you upload; demographic information (such as your age, gender, and biographical details); appointments; groups you have joined; your interests and preferences; and information related to a service, account, course, or event you register for.
    • Your resume/CV and related information that you may provide or submit.
    • Communications, such as messages you send or receive via the Platform and other communications with us (e.g., questions, feedback, support requests).
    • Payment and transactional data, such as information needed to complete your orders and registrations on or through the Platform (including name, credit card information, bank account number, billing and shipping information) and information about services you have purchased.
    • Marketing data, such as your preferences for receiving communications about our products, services, activities, events, and publications, and details about how you engage with our communications.
    • Other information not specifically listed here, which we will use as described in this Privacy Policy or as otherwise disclosed at the time of collection.
  • Personal Information from Other Sources.

    We may obtain personal information from other sources, such as:
    • Universities, institutions, companies, organizations and other entities that sponsor your membership or that you engage with via the Platform.
    • Public sources, such as social media sites.
    • Business partners, such as joint marketing partners and event co-sponsors.
  • Personal Information from Third Party Platforms.

    If you connect or sign in to the Platform through a social media or other third-party platform (e.g., Google), we may collect information from that platform. You may also be able to provide additional information via that platform (e.g., your email address or contacts). See “Your Choices” below for options related to linked third-party platforms.
  • Personal Information Collected Automatically.

    We, our service providers, and our business partners may automatically log information about you, your device, and your activity over time on our Platform and other sites and online services, such as:
    • Device data, such as your operating system, browser type, screen resolution, IP address, unique identifiers, the website you visited before our Site, and general location information (e.g., city/region).
    • Online activity data, such as pages or screens viewed, time on page, navigation paths, access times, and duration of access.
    • Geolocation data, if you consent to location tracking in our App.
  • Cookies and Similar Technologies.

    Like many online services, we use:
    • Cookies / which store information to help you navigate efficiently, remember preferences, enable functionality, understand usage, and facilitate advertising.
    • Flash cookies / LSOs (locally stored objects).
    • Web beacons / pixels, to measure engagement and campaign performance.
    • SDKs in our App for analytics , social integrations, functionality, and advertising; SDKs may enable third parties to collect information directly in the App.
  • Personal Information About Others

    Users may refer friends or other contacts to us and share their contact information. Only provide someone’s information if you have their permission.

USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Our primary purpose in collecting personal information is to provide the products and services that you request on the Platform. We may use personal information for:

  • To Provide Our Products and Platforms. For example,to:

    • provide requested content, features, products, and services;
    • connect you with other users;
    • process transactions;
    • communicate about the Platform (announcements, updates, alerts, and support messages);
    • display your content or share your information on the Platform, including with organizations or other users;
    • understand your interests, personalize your experience, and deliver relevant information; and
    • respond to inquiries and support requests.
  • For Research and Development.

    To analyze usage, improve the Platform, diagnose issues, prevent fraud, and develop new features. We may create aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized data and use/share it for lawful business purposes.
  • To Determine Your Eligibility and Set Up Your Account.

    For example, to verify student status or university affiliation and to create, maintain, customize, and secure your account.
  • For Marketing and Advertising.

    We, our business partners, and advertising partners may collect and use information for direct marketing and interest-based advertising.
    • We may send you BeGlobali-related or other permitted marketing communications. You may opt out (see “Your Choices”).
    • We may work with third-party advertising and social media companies that use cookies/technologies to collect information across services (or use hashed customer lists) to serve relevant ads. See “Advertising Choices.”
  • Compliance and Protection. To:

    • comply with laws, lawful requests, and legal process;
    • maintain the safety, security, and integrity of the Platform and our operations;
    • protect rights, privacy, safety, or property;
    • audit compliance with legal/contractual requirements;
    • enforce our terms; and
    • prevent, identify, investigate, and deter fraud or illegal activity.

SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may share personal information:

  • Related Companies and M&A Transactions. With our affiliates (control/controlled/common control). In a corporate transaction (e.g., merger, acquisition, sale, reorganization, bankruptcy), we may transfer personal information as part of that transaction (including during negotiations).
  • With Your Consent. With unaffiliated third parties not described elsewhere when you consent
  • Legal Compliance. With law enforcement, government authorities, or private parties to comply with law or for compliance, fraud prevention, and safety purposes.
  • Platform Providers (Service Providers). With third parties performing services for us (e.g., hosting, maintenance, analytics, course hosting, billing, payment processing, fraud protection, marketing) consistent with this Privacy Policy.
  • Advertising Partners. With third-party advertising companies that collect information about your activity to help us advertise and/or use hashed customer lists to deliver ads to you and similar users.
  • Clients and Sponsoring Organizations. With the relevant university, institution, company, organization, or entity that is our client or that sponsors your membership.
  • BeGlobali Partners. With partners participating in our programs, events, or joint offerings. If you engage in a joint offering, information you provide may be shared with us and the identified partner
  • Third Party Platforms. If you post/share via social media tools (e.g., share buttons) or register using a third-party platform (e.g., Google), we share information to facilitate those connections. Third-party use is governed by their privacy policies.
  • Other Users and the Public. If you post content to areas visible to other users or the public (e.g., newsfeeds, forums, newsletters), others may view, use, or copy it. Public posts can be cached or captured by others.
  • Professional Advisors. With our lawyers, bankers, auditors, and insurers, as necessary.

SECURITY OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is fully secure. We use reasonable measures to protect personal information, but we cannot guarantee absolute security.

YOUR CHOICES

INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We are headquartered in the United States of America. If you are located outside the U.S. and provide personal information, it may be transferred to, processed in, and stored in the U.S. Where applicable law permits, you specifically consent to such transfer and processing and the collection, use, and disclosure described in this Privacy Policy and any applicable terms.

NOTICE FOR CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS

California residents with an established business relationship with us may request, once per calendar year, information about personal information we shared with third parties for their direct marketing purposes (if any), per Cal. Civ. Code §§ 1798.83–1798.84. Submit requests to [email protected] with “Shine the Light” in the subject line and include your name, street address, city, state, and ZIP code and an attestation that you are a California resident. We are not responsible for improperly labeled, routed, or incomplete requests.
